Library Cards Free library cards are available to all Wisconsin residents age 6 and older. Children under the age of 18 need a parent's or guardian's signature. Proof of current address, such as a driver's license, state ID, or utility bill showing name and address, is required. A $1 replacement fee will be charged for a lost or destroyed card. Library cards expire each year according to card origination date. Cards can be renewed by contacting the library by telephone, e-mail, or in person.
picture of library cardRenewals Most materials may be renewed twice, unless an item is on hold for another customer. To renew an item, you may call the circulation desk at 715-265-7443 during library hours, bring in the item, or renew it online through the MORE online catalog.

Fines Fines are charged at the rate of 10 cents per day for books, magazines, and audiobooks. The fine for late DVDs or videos is $1 per day. You can check your patron records to see if you have fines through the MORE online catalog. Patrons must keep fines under $10.00 in order to retain borrowing privileges. All accumulated fines must be paid in full at the time of annual card renewal.

Reserves Any item that is checked out may be reserved through the MORE online catalog, in person, or by telephone. The online catalog also allows you to reserve items from any of the other MORE libraries and have them delivered to the Glenwood City Public Library.

Interlibrary Loan  Materials not owned by the Glenwood City Public Library may be available from another library. This can be checked in person or online. If you have questions, please feel free to ask a staff member for assistance.

Being a Responsible Borrower

  • Patrons must present their library cards to check out materials.
  • Patrons are responsible for all items checked out on their cards.
  • Parents or guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's access to all library resources.
  • To avoid an overdue fine, materials must be returned on or before the day they are due.
